Our 7/7/7 was spent making this beautiful home and gorgeous landscape into a mid summer nights dream. Renee grew up in this home, and the entire property was completely renovated for her big day! The home sits up on a hill, the back yard sprawls out with beautiful tall oak trees and lots of lush green lawn. The ceremony took place under her favorite tree, and we dazzled her up with crystal and rod iron lanterns that glistened in the sun. We also put lanterns in most of the trees around the reception with battery operated votive lights ( this is a great tip for using candle light outside in trees– why worry about a fire!) that kept the ambiance going all night. The landscape was so green and shady, we went with light neutral tones of white and ivory with a touch of green. Her flowers consisted of hydrangea, Casablanca lilies, tulips, peony, and for a little nature we wrapped curly willow around the inside of the glass on the centerpieces.

Lacy and Keith wanted a little Hawaiian, pacific rim style with contemporary clean lines, and lots of rich color. Her girls were in what I would call a palm green, and we went with bold and bright shades of mango orange to compliment with. We created a square pergola style structure for the ceremony out of natural bamboo, and secured it to the existing railing overlooking the Newport Bay. The floral selection we decided on was a combination of orchids, mango calla lily, hydrangea, pin cushion protea, and cool textured tropical monesterra and ti leaves.

We are a vendor member of the ABC-OC ( Association of Bridal Consultants), and we had a mixer event at Marbella Country Club back in June…. we had a few guest tables to decorate, and a featured table to do whatever we wanted to “show off our style” a little! I went to the Kentucky Derby with my family this year in May, and we went on a tour to an old bourbon distillery while we were there. There was copper wiring everywhere, and that was my inspiration… lots of shape, and texture.
