I had so much fun with Kim and her mom over the year working with them on all the flower details. Kim did a ton of DIY projects including painstakingly gluing on little crystals to all votive and fluted candles ( I think there were about 100 all together) and buying all the apothecary jars and goodies for her over the top candy station. She went with shades of blush, rose and wine for the colors of the day. Lots of roses of all colors, beautiful red/burgundy hydrangea, and her favorite peonies were accompanied by interesting foliage and some cool shabby chic urns for the centerpieces.
When you get married at the same venue as your reception and it’s not blazing hot (kryptonite to flowers!) you can reuse some of the decor at the reception. We took all the gazebo decor down and placed the garland all along the front of the head table and put the gorgeous spray down as a long and low arrangement right in front of Chad and Kim. There is a time to double dip on ceremony to reception flowers, and this was a good example
